We were invited to Dayang's house for a lunch on last Saturday. Hubby needs to do something else, so only me 'menjamu selera' di sana. Thank you makcik for d lovely nasi tomato, grilled chicken, daging kurma, dalca, broccoli (celuq) & manggo juice. Yummy! Koi 'tembam' laaa I nie!
Sister Jemilah & her daughter Safia, were there also. She's from Sudan and almost a year they were in M'sia for their post graduate studies at USM. Very friendly...she asked me "why I did'nt continue putting my henna"??? Gulp!He!he! We told her that, in M'sia we will wearing henna for wedding ceremony and some festive like Hari Raya ( rasanya..nie zaman dulu2..time ghaya saja mesti budak2 kalut pakai inai). And she said, in Sudan,it is mandatory for a married lady to wearing henna all the time. If you're not continue wearing d henna, it is consider you're not obedient to your husband and in laws. Kiranya kalo mak mertua mai sure kena "jeling". Maknanya kena pakai inai sampai mati! Firstly, I thought wearing henna is an Indian culture...rupanyer org Sudan pun kena berinai!
That evening, we learnt from her how to make "kufta" and...emmm lagi satu menu..I lupa namanya!He!he! Tau makan saja I nie  Kufta is something like 'begedil" kat M'sia. Tapi kufta tak letak ubi. And its ingredient contain of meat, spices, onion, garlic & mint. I had tasted this before at my Iraqi's fren house, Abeer. But Abeer prepared it without sauce. Purely the sauce is made by the tomato paste & puree & some other ingredients. He!he! Sorry makcik tak ingat!
Another menu, is something mcm donut! Donut berperisa vanila with juicy sauce. Sauce dia rasa masam2 manis sbb letak lemon juice.
Eemmm....sedap mmg sedap menu dr Sudan nie..tapi for me..sekali sekala makan boleh ler..selalu2..tak leh jalan rasanya. Most of their dishes quite oily & fatty  Lagi pong..lidah I nie memang typical Malay punya lidah..dok rasa nasi & sambai belacan jugak yg sedap!

Last weekend we went back to A. Setar for a short holiday. Actually it was not really a 'holiday' since my hubby needs to attend his audit meeting at A. Setar hospital on that Sunday. So, I'm end up "ronda2" with in laws to our relative house. Kami p beli kuah rojak MAK BEE  psssttt....Olie & K Husnita tau dak kuah rojak MAK BEE??? First time taste it...fuhhhh sedap! Nie..cicah ngan apple hijau..pasti terangkat! I bought some for my mum.... kasi neighbourhood 'rasa' kesedapan kuah rojak MAK BEE.. who knows...one day boleh jadi main supplier kuah rojak kat Penang
On that Sunday evening, we went to Taman Rimba. Normally people go there for EXERCISE but we went there to 'exercise perut' ( makan2 kat situ). This Taman Rimba is totally different from Taman Rimba in Penang. Kat Penang..Taman Rimbanya ada air terjun...boleh picnic but kat A. Star Taman Rimbanya..ada track jogging & playground saja.... tapi mmg ramai la berjogging di sana...Wah..rakyat Kedah bagus sungguh..sahut seruan kerajaan utk jadi warga Kedah yg sihat!And nearly to 7pm my sis came & joined us. Kesian Akmal Danial nak main pun tak puas..tuh yg his pics semua muka 'monyok2'. Actually, his pics are highly dedicated to auntie Rosie...yg kepingin banget mau tengok Didie's son.
p/s Rosie..Akmal 'photostate' his grandfather feature (his father's side). Takde langsung ikut Didie..cuma his softspoken tuh..ala2 Didie

CERIA ! My first word for 2day entry Why?
1st...Have completed my final report of CPA Australia Research Grant last nite...2 papers has been produced for this AAM Conference (9-11th Dec 05) and those are extended topics from my previous MBA thesis. Grant tuh tak loaded...sekadar lepas utk data collection Syukur dari xde langsung atleast boleh cover cost utk thesis yg lepas, since am using the same set of primary data! Kerja 'menulis' bahan ilmiah nie ..tak sama ngan tulih kat photo blog or web blog Tapi 'feel' tetap sama..Satisfaction? Ada skit bezaaa.. Since last week my mind & soul were blended with perkataan2 ilmiah..n rujukan ilmiah..kadang suka..kadang nak 'termunt*h' gak Apa pun I luvvvvvvvvv writing!
My paper jauh lg nk capai taraf pro..baru amatur..bila la ..nk jadi mcm Peter Moizer? Philip Kotler? Ibnu Sina? Al Khawarizmi? Their studies...menjadi rujukan seantero dunia! Fuhhh..jaaauuhhhhhhh lagi tuh..entah sampai entah tidak!
Thanks to Dr Hasnah..in making this possible- d CPA Research grant. And not to forget..my dear hubby..'tima kacih' yg saban malam dok remind.."gheja Dr Hasnah..dah siap? Dah buat? Bila nak buat?" I bukan apa...lately nie susah nak stay up lewat malam...rebah badan jer mesti 'hanyut'..zzzzzzzz !he! camne nak produce paper hebat2?...angan2 jer lebih! lagi pong gheja kat ofis pong leh tahang jugak! Kalut ngan product baru! Apepong...mesti CERIA! n semua mesti jadik...Channnnntikkkkkk!
2nd..tak sabaq nak upload my beautiful niece's pics. They were here last week till weekend. Our house was 'alive' with suara2 mereka...jalan2..shopping2 and yg paling istimewa tetiap hari makan best! Tp yang tak best tuh..kami berdua dah mcm nak 'montel' ..mana idaknyer yeop..MIL & SIL pulun masak best2! Montel ler teman!  And yg lagi tak best..bila they all semua balik..tinggal jer kami berdua..SUNYI tul

Our weekend is full of wedding invitations. Saiful@Maktab was on 27.08.05, Nuri & Zila, the next day. Most of our fren is getting married and YES ,it is about time.. consider a good time to settle down. 1st, completed our studies..then have a good job & stable income, so a 'prime time' to get married. And not to forget..d age factor as well..hik!hik! We're getting older....oppsssssss..nope..we're getting mature Now, is d time (yg sebaya) to 'plan'. Plan of everything..a lot of things..especially your future with d spouse!It is about time for you to have your own kid..and some planning for them, like education & etc..and is about time to have your own properties, house, car & etc perhaps marriage also may consider as your "HUGE & PRICELESS PROPERTY"
I wish them to have a wonderful marriage!

I went to Zila's house for her "majlis berinai" with Dyg Ainul. Emmmm...meriah sangat! See the cheerful & smiling faces..terasa mcm kita plak yg nak kahwin My 5 cents of thought, adat majlis berinai nie WAJAR dipraktiskan if d majlis is not against any hukum-hakam. With d small 'kenduri' to closed frens & relatives (before the real wedding reception) is really nice. Masa nie la bakal pengantin ada peluang to sembang2 dgn sedara-mara jauh & dekat serta kawan2 rapat coz for sure during 'kenduri besar'..mmg takde masa untuk semua nie. On d wedding day..pengantin hanya banyak SENYUM dari bercakap He!he!bagi yg dah kahwin sure pernah "rasa" semua nie..bagi bakal2 pengantin..tak caya..hah! dah kahwin nanti raseeeeeee ler kome
To bakal2 pengantin here are some procedures for majlis berinai. But I think org just follow apa yg patut jer...Anyway, kalo nak follow semuanya pun OK selagi tak menyusahkan mana2 pihak..coz ada pepatah mengatakan biar mati anak, jgn mati adat..ish!ish! sanggup ker?????

Majlis berinai biasanya diadakan secara berperingkat-peringkat seperti berikut:
1 . Berinai curi. Diadakan tiga malam sebelum hari langsung untuk saudara-mara terdekat sahaja.
2. Berinai kecil. Diadakan dua malam sebelum hari langsung untuk para saudara-mara, jiran tetangga
dan sahabat handai.
3. Berinai besar. Diadakan satu malam sebelum hari langsung untuk para jemputan khas daripada
pihak lelaki dan perempuan. Biasanya ia dilakukan selepas upacara akad nikah. Dalam adat berinai curi dan berinai kecil, pihak Ielaki tidak diundang dan tidak seharusnya datang. Manakala pada malam berinai besar, pihak lelaki turut serta. Pada malam upacara berinai besarlah akad nikah dilangsungkan, yakni sebelum berinai besar. Apakala pengantin Ielaki didudukkan di atas pelamin, upacara berinai dilakukan oleh para jemputan lelaki dan perempuan, kebanyakannya daripada pihak perempuan. Jumlah orang yang menginai mestilah ganjil. Demikian juga apabila menginaikannya. Upacara ini bertujuan untuk kebersihan dan kesucian kedua-dua pengantin, kerana ini dianggap 'berkat', iaitu satu cara penyucian dan perlindungan. Kedua-dua bakal pengantin dianggap wangi dan berdarah manis

It was a beautiful moment when August just slips by and I'm wearing my graduation hat & cloaks again! All my family members & frens did congratulate me..I'm so touch! Thank you! And I was again with the people I know and with the people I've grown fond of ...sitting inside the DTSP calling upon our name for receiving the scroll...its hard to say farewell once the convo ends

Post graduate studies has not only provided me with the opportunity to explore avenues that I might otherwise not have explored, and in ways that I might not have considered, but it has also given me the time and space to develop my own interests. I have begun to think more seriously about what I would like to do in the future, commensurate with my abilities, in the light of the lessons that I have learnt both about myself in my experience as a student and from the subjects to which I have been introduced. Through MBA I have learnt to increase my expectations of myself, to accept the disappointments that arise when those expectations contradict themselves, and to enjoy the uncertainty that both precedes and succeeds the risk of new endeavours.
Go beyond!!! Build up the network…a few of them have set up their own business entity. K Shafinaz did very well with her law firm & consultancy, Zul has take over his family business, Tony (our best student) will leave Agilent soon for having his own import-export (trading) bus., K Ina is now pursuing her PHD at Melbourne, Ila, K Razmah, Yus, Rosa, Linda has choose to be an academician and sooner they’ll also engage with USM with jurnal publications & etc. yeah..Many of them have go beyond..Me???? Hik!hik..build up my ‘family network’ first..expanding d family members… Human production Sound ridiculuos ..Anyway..it so called ‘business’ what? Am I right??

MBA has not only introduced me to the subject of critical thought and its social implications - it has also nursed within me a passionate and everlasting love of learning. It has also taught me to have more faith in myself as a person, to develop that faith in the face of failure, and to encourage in others a similar faith in themselves.
I have learnt to laugh and cry and to accept moments of happiness and sadness as part of the very process of education that MBA provides. Is it sounds so hard???Ha!ha! No laaaaa…opppsss..sometimes it was
Day time going to work, nite time going to school. That was my daily routine for last 3 yrs. Weekend? Of course, I need to study & attending group discussion etc. So, basically no social-life for d last 3 yrs…Dating?? Uhhhh..jauh sekali! Luckily, I have a great accompany…who understand me & my work more than I expected…

At the heart of the matter, Convocation is the students’ celebration.
It is a day filled with circumstance and majesty designed to honour the achievements of the students who cross the stage to shake hands with the chancellor.
During the convocation ceremony, all eyes are on the people in gowns, as it should be...
Today is MY DAY 9th August 2005! Hoorayyyyy...Alhamdulillah 3 yrs hardwork...finally rewarded.
My main reason for undertaking the post degree course was for personal fulfilment, without any object of obtaining remunerative employment at its conclusion. In some respects the subjects I choose to study were secondary to my desire for personal development and to prove to myself that ‘I could do it’.
For me, MBA, as it is practised at USM, has allowed me to take account of my experience prior to my return to higher education and to rethink the very meaning of experience itself. It has forced me to challenge some of my own preconceptions.
